Maxim Mamochkin, who currently lives in Berlin, was born in Moscow in 1996. 2017-2021, he completed his acting training at the prestigious GITIS : Russian Institute of Theatre Arts, the country’s leading and most-renowned drama school, with a focus on musical theatre. During his studies, he worked with director Anna Trifonova on Alexander Ostrovsky’s “The Storm” and with director Dmitry Belov on “The Marriage of Figaro” based on Mozart and Beaumarchais, as well as the musical “Some Like It Hot” by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman.
In the 2022/23 and 2023/24 seasons, Maxim worked at Theater Bremen in Nina Mattenklotz’s production of “All Russians Love Birch Trees”. Alongside this, he worked as an acting and musical ensemble coach at Theater11 (Bremen) and as a musical director for the play “Peace Begins Within You”, which was performed on the main stage of Bremen Theatre.
In 2024, Maxim worked at Theaterhaus Jena in “Traces”, directed by Leon Pfannenmüller. This intimate production, featuring just two actors, wove personal reflection and theatrical storytelling into a powerful exploration of identity and memory. Later this year, Maxim performed in Nicolai Tegeler’s production of “Jedermann” at the Parochialkirche in Berlin and played in the Irish independent film “Snot Rocket”.
