There once was a girl, who always knew she gonna be an actress.

She wanted to be an actress so much, that she chose herself a new role, new name, new imaginary family every other day.  She wanted to be an actress so much. But she was not allowed to say it out loud.

Baba Yaga, the dark Siberian witch, put a spell on the girl. She was so jealous of the joy that the girl got on stage, she couldn’t bear it. She hexed the girl that if she ever goes on stage, her legs will fall apart, her hair will turn grey, her eyes will drip, her freckles will become violet, her nails will become wooden roots and she will forgot her own name.

Secretly, the girl sneaked onto the stage, but immediately broke her leg. She still tried to sing, but dead flowers fell out of her mouth. And as she danced, she suddenly hooked herself on a tree with her own nail.

Three years three months three weeks and three days the girl laid in her bed, neither dead nor alive. Then she was woken up by a kiss, but didn’t have time for love.

The girl wanted to break the spell. She wondered, what if she went far-far overseas. What she wore lead boots and nettle shirts. 

Along the way she has since worn out seven pairs of lead boots, and seven nettle shirts faded into dust. As the girl found herself naked in the German forest, she saw beautiful witches and spirits gathering to dance around a fire. She was still a very brave and courageous girl, so she eavesdropped and learned a few very German secrets. She was so inspired, that she couldn’t stay in the shadows any longer and went into the magic circle. 

I want to be like you.
- You don’t want to be an actress any more? - asked a giant wizard.
- Being an actress means being a magician - answered the girl.

The girl laughed and ran down the hill to become an actress. 
You might say she lost a lot of time as well as her opportunity to perform princesses. But in her wonderings and trials she learned to play witches and dark women with secret names.
