Carmen Marin Estremera

Carmen Marín lives in Russia since 1998. She studied Slavic Philology. Since 2020 she has been studying dramatic art in the House of Actor in Moscow. In 2023 entered the Moscow Film School in the Film Actor Program and in 2024 she entered the Free Film School on the Film Direction Course. As director and actress her first film is "The letter", five times semifinalist, and three times award winner. A second film, "Fatum" has just finished its post-production is going on in festivals.

Films as director and/ or actress:

-Письмо (The Letter) Finalist and semi-finalist in several festivals. In the Festival “White Bird”- ‘Best director’s decision recognition’ and in 27th “Zilant” International Festival an award recognition in for the 'creation of a bright characteristic image'. Also received an award winner as ‘best actress in short’ in Hong Kong Indie Festival 2025, so as at Palermo International Film Festival and Rome International Short Festival and 'short actress student film' at "AQUARIUS" Russian Short Film Festival-October, 2025. 

-"Fatum": The remake process is finished. In the first version ("The Cleaning Lady") got an award as best female actress and in 26th “Zilant” International Film Festival, Kazan, Russia.

- Currently, a third short film is in its pre-production phase, entitled Dra-Wonder, a fantasy dramedy.
